Humphrey, Gersonde take top honors as Triple J 5K sets turnout record
Ryan Humphrey and Alyona Gersonde took top honors at the 7th Annual Triple J 5K Bubble Color Run at Garapan Fishing Base on Saturday, with the event drawing record participation. Humphrey won overall in 19:34, while Gersonde led the women’s division with a 25:21 finish. Organizers said more than 1,300 people registered and the race had hundreds of supporters plus over 300 volunteers. Net proceeds will benefit local causes including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Commonwealth Cancer Association, and Northern Marianas College, as the latter marks its 40th anniversary. Triple J Enterprises senior vice president Mike Sablan said the turnout exceeded expectations.
