Clonakilty, Newcestown and Castlehaven have all reached the knockout phase of the McCarthy Insurance Group Cork premier senior football championship, setting up a packed weekend. Clonakilty meet Newcestown on Saturday, September 26 in Dunmanway, while Castlehaven face Nemo Rangers on Sunday, September 27 in Clonakilty. The Carbery divisional clash with St Finbarr’s is part of a double-header in Clonakilty on the same Sunday. Carbery Rangers advance straight to the semi-finals, with Dohenys and O’Donovan Rossa eliminated. The latter play a relegation play-off against Clyda Rovers on Saturday, September 26 in Macroom.
