Kyle Pitts Sr. Dishes on 'Culture Change', Atlanta Falcons QB Battle
Kyle Pitts Sr. discussed a “culture change” in Atlanta after signing a record-setting contract extension with the Falcons. The deal is three years and $54 million, including $36 million guaranteed, making him the third-highest-paid tight end in the league and the highest-salaried tight end ever on a three-year contract. Drafted No. 4 overall in 2021 as the highest-drafted tight end in history, Pitts also became the second rookie tight end to break 1,000 receiving yards. Speaking at Tight End University with roughly 60 other tight ends, Pitts referenced new head coach Kevin Stefanski’s emphasis on fundamentals during OTAs and minicamp. He also addressed the quarterback competition between Tua Tagovailoa and Michael Penix Jr., saying he just wants to catch passes and noting both quarterbacks are “peak competitors.”
