Lionel Messi scores again as Argentina beat Jordan 3-1
Lionel Messi scored again as Argentina extended its World Cup winning run to three matches with a 3-1 victory over Jordan. Coming off the bench, Messi took the lead to Group J, where Argentina topped the table with a perfect record after scoring late and maintaining control throughout. The match began with Giovani Lo Celso and Lautaro Martinez giving the World Cup holders a first-half advantage, before Mousa Al Tamari pulled one back for Jordan. With Argentina already confirmed as group winners, coach Lionel Scaloni made nine changes, initially leaving Messi on the bench. He entered in the second half, scored after being fouled, and finished the day with six goals in three tournament games and 19 World Cup goals overall. Jordan exited after finding the net in all three debut games.
