Long-standing Coventry sports and social club reveals plans for new facility
The Jaguar Cars Sports and Social Club in Allesley, Coventry, has unveiled plans for a new community sports facility. The long-running club, active in the area for more than half a century, wants to add three padel courts. According to a planning application, the courts would be built on the current 3G pitch location, and the existing 3G pitch would be moved to the nearby disused tennis courts. The proposal says the venue will be community-focused, offering pay-and-play access to people of all ages and abilities, with an optional membership scheme that could bring preferential pricing, earlier booking rights, and organized social activities. The application is under review by Coventry City Council officers under reference PL/2026/0001481/FULM.
