Midlands police officer sacked after being hit with triple restraining order
A Midlands police officer has been sacked over gross misconduct following a hearing that found allegations proven. The officer, who worked for Staffordshire Police, was dismissed without notice. The force did not identify the officer or specify the allegation details, but said a court imposed a restraining order earlier this year for the protection of three people known to the officer. The order restricts contact or even indirect contact, and prevents attendance at home addresses or educational establishments, except through social services or an authorized person named in the order. The misconduct hearing, chaired by Assistant Chief Constable Paul Talbot on Thursday, Oct. 1, concluded the officer breached the standard of professional behaviour regarding discreditable conduct. The officer will be placed on the College of Policing barred list.
