Panthers' Brad Marchand speaks out on ahead of schedule injury return after loss to Ducks

Brad Marchand returned ahead of the expected timeline for the Florida Panthers, tying the game late in regulation before an overtime loss to the Anaheim Ducks. Florida fell 3-2 in overtime on Sunday at Honda Center, but the two-time Stanley Cup champion scored his first of the season during his comeback, netting the equalizer with 1:50 remaining in the third period. Marchand said the injury progressed faster than expected, and that getting timing and conditioning back will take time. The 38-year-old played 13:10 of ice time and added three shots. He missed only two regular-season games, last appearing March 6, while captain Aleksander Barkov is on long-term injured reserve after a Thursday injury.
