Nelly Korda's plan for the AIG Women's Open? 'Control what you can control'

Nelly Korda heads into the AIG Women’s Open this weekend at Royal Lytham & St Annes in Lancashire focused on “control what you can control.” The world No. 1 turns 28 Tuesday and arrives after winning the Chevron Championship in April and the U.S. Women’s Open in June, making her the first American to capture the first two majors of the season since Pat Bradley (1986). Her latest U.S. win at Riviera also moved her closer to the LPGA Hall of Fame and to a career Grand Slam. Korda was tied for second at St Andrews in 2024, two shots behind Lydia Ko, and missed the cut at the Amundi Evian Championship in Èvian-les-Bains.
