Boy, 13, arrested after child trapped in burning container at Welsh rugby club
A 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a fire at Trimsaran Rugby Club in Carmarthenshire. An 11-year-old boy was hospitalized in Morriston with serious injuries; the fire that damaged an equipment-storage container is believed to have been deliberate. The incident occurred Saturday around 6:15 p.m., with multiple fire crews responding and proving heroic rescues. The 13-year-old was released on conditional bail as investigations continue, while the injured boy remains in stable condition. Fire crews from Llanelli, Pont-iets, and Kidwelly battled the blaze using breathing apparatus, hose reels, hydraulic spreaders, ladders, and thermal imaging cameras, and the fire also damaged a neighboring property. The investigation is ongoing.
