Newcastle United has signed Lille OSC winger Matias Fernandez-Pardo, with both clubs announcing a reported €65 million deal. The 21-year-old joins the Magpies on a long-term contract and becomes a Belgium international reinforcement after three seasons in Northern France. Fernandez-Pardo leaves LOSC with 71 appearances, 12 goals and 11 assists. Newcastle confirmed he will wear the No. 20 shirt. The transfer was widely linked throughout the summer, and Newcastle pursued him actively after the sale of Anthony Gordon to FC Barcelona. Lille had also prepared for his potential exit by signing Feyenoord striker Ayase Ueda. He could debut Saturday at home against Bournemouth.
