Over 1.5M Pounds of Meat, Poultry Recalled. See the Affected Products
xCruzo Brief
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced a recall covering 1,584,361 pounds (over 1.5 million) of meat and poultry products from Kayem Foods. The agency said the items may have experienced temperature abuse during storage. The recall was initiated after an FSIS investigation triggered by a customer complaint that the products arrived warm. No illnesses have been reported, but FSIS warned consumers may still have the products at home. The affected items include hot dogs and bacon, along with other products produced between March 31 and Oct. 7, and sold under brands such as Kayem, Genoa, Al Fresco, and more. Products were distributed nationwide and also to Hong Kong.
