Patriots will face undefeated Bills without two of their best defenders
The New England Patriots will return to Buffalo on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET to face an undefeated Bills team, but they arrive missing two defensive starters. Coach Mike Vrabel announced Friday that cornerback Christian Gonzalez and defensive tackle Christian Barmore will miss the game with shoulder injuries after neither practiced this week. Both injuries began following New England’s 35-6 loss to Jacksonville last Sunday. Gonzalez had his shoulder examined after a physical stop in the first quarter and still played 52 of 59 defensive snaps without an injury designation; Barmore returned from a questionable shoulder issue to play by halftime. Charles Woods is expected to start for Gonzalez, while Milton Williams, Cory Durden and Joshua Farmer take on more interior work.
