The Premier League transfer-window spending surge is reshaping club budgets ahead of the 2026-27 season. With the summer window open, Premier League clubs have already spent more than £1 billion, with weeks still remaining before the window closes. Tottenham Hotspur are the top spenders so far, spending just under £230 million as they look to move past their relegation fight. Tottenham’s signings include £92.5 million for Sandro Tonali, £85 million for Mateus Fernandes, and £52 million for Jan Paul van Hecke, plus several free transfers. Manchester City’s biggest deal has been paying £116 million to Nottingham Forest for Elliot Anderson. Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United have also received more than £100 million each, highlighted by Chelsea sales of Marc Cucurella and Andrey Santos for £50 million-plus fees.
