Sam Allardyce has said one Manchester United player “shouldn’t be there” following the club’s poor start to the season. United sit 12th in the Premier League after winning only one of their first five matches. Their only league victory before the international break came against promoted Ipswich Town. They began with a shock 2-0 defeat away at Hull City, then drew with Everton and Fulham. United were beaten 1-0 at Old Trafford by rivals Manchester City, who played much of the game with 10 men after Phil Foden’s red card in the 23rd minute.
