Gunner Stockton threw for 295 yards and three touchdowns as No. 2 Georgia beat Vanderbilt 38-14 on Saturday, improving to 5-0. In Athens, Georgia scored on its opening drive for the fourth time this season when Stockton found Landon Roldan for a 2-yard TD. Vanderbilt answered two series later as backup QB Blaze Berlowitz hit Junior Sherrill for a 60-yard touchdown, tying the game 7-7—Georgia’s first first-quarter opponent score all year. The Bulldogs pulled ahead with back-to-back rushing TDs by Chauncey Bowens and Jaden Redell before halftime, then took advantage of good field position after blocking a Vanderbilt field goal attempt. Vanderbilt cut it to 21-14 before halftime and Georgia later extended the lead with an 11-play, 75-yard TD drive. Ellis Robinson IV recorded Georgia’s first interception of the season in the fourth quarter.
