The Monday Club: Jane Adams on life, loss and learning to love herself

Jane Adams is the latest guest on The Monday Club, discussing her life in and out of camogie, as well as major personal changes. The Antrim camogie legend reflects on the ups and downs of club and county, including O’Donovan Rossa’s remarkable All-Ireland triumph in 2009, a year she feared their chance had passed. Now based in west Belfast, Adams has channelled her drive into running after retiring from hurling. She began building her distance running after her mother, Bernie Adams, was diagnosed with cancer; Bernie later died in April 2025. Adams, just over five weeks into recovery from knee surgery, is aiming to run the New York Marathon with her sisters and has already completed Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin and Chicago.
