Tigers should target Yankees' Jazz Chisholm Jr. for 2 reasons

With the New York Yankees eliminated from the postseason on Wednesday night, attention turns to players who could become free agents after the World Series, including two-time All-Star Jazz Chisholm Jr. The left-handed hitter had a down year by his standards, finishing with 19 home runs and a .231/.312/.399 line for a 97 OPS+. Bleacher Report’s Zachary D. Rymer argues the Detroit Tigers should pursue Chisholm for two main reasons: speed they need after stealing only 58 bases in 2024, and the fit in Detroit’s middle infield alongside Kevin McGongile. Rymer also notes Chisholm’s energy could add a different dynamic, even as a Torres reunion remains possible.
