Trump Slams Georgia Sen. Ossoff While Touting New State Jobs

President Donald Trump attacked Georgia Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff as a “far-left extremist” during a rally in the state on Saturday, while also promising new jobs and investment. Trump blamed Ossoff-supported policies for inflation and record-high illegal immigration during the Biden administration, drawing boos from the crowd. The president also announced plans for an Audi facility in Macon, Georgia, saying the company will invest $4.2 billion and begin construction next month on a plant producing 200,000 cars per year. Trump held the event in Perry to campaign for Rep. Mike Collins and Rick Jackson, with Ossoff leading Collins 48% to 40% in a recent AJC poll.
