Two obstacles Juventus face in signing Barcelona man

Juventus is among the clubs tracking Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, with the expectation he could become available before season’s end. Barcelona could open the door in January, with reports suggesting the Catalan club believes he isn’t required for its long-term plans. Juventus views De Jong as a potential upgrade for its midfield and overall squad quality, but a deal is not expected to be simple. Tuttojuve identifies two major obstacles: Barcelona’s asking price, reported to exceed 50 million euros, and De Jong’s salary, which is said to put him among the highest earners in European football. Juventus would have to fit both the transfer fee and wages into its budget, depending on Barcelona’s stance and finances.
