UMass men's club hockey cruises past Keene State 6-3 for third straight win
UMass men’s club hockey extended its strong start by beating Keene State 6-3 at the Mullins Center Community Ice Rink on Thursday, Oct. 29. The Minutemen improved to a 6-2-1 record and outshot the Owls 49-shots-to-goal, maintaining prolonged offensive pressure across all periods. Sam Lally scored twice, including the first and fifth UMass goals. His second strike came from a high-zone puck shot by Timothy Michel, deflected in front. After Keene State took an early lead with Joshua Demasi’s first-career point at 13:35 of the first period, UMass answered and scored three unanswered goals to take control, adding more in the second. Coach Skip Welch said the team is “starting to come together system-wise,” with sustained zone time and better cycling.
