Very hungry' Lee Pulliam is ready to chase his third Virginia Triple Crown with help from JR Motorsports and the NASCAR Channel
Lee Pulliam is preparing to chase a third Virginia Triple Crown after returning to the driver’s seat in Late Model Stock racing. Pulliam last won the full event in 2019, and he is now teaming up again with JR Motorsports, following his NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series debut with the organization at Martinsville Speedway in March. He will compete in his No. 8 Chevrolet with sponsorship from the NASCAR Channel, a free 24/7 streaming network. The push follows Pulliam’s earlier shift toward team ownership when sponsorship became harder to secure for full-time driving. His return was triggered by a 2024 family emergency after his father Stuart faced hospitalization following a Whipple procedure and kidney failure. Pulliam’s best-known catalyst race was the 2024 ValleyStar Credit Union 300 at Martinsville, where he finished 13 after starting eighth.
