Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris said Senator Edwin Sifuna’s Nairobi rally was “beautiful entertainment for a Sunday,” arguing that music and dancing, rather than political issues, drew the crowd. Speaking on TV 47 on Wednesday, Passaris questioned whether the turnout reflected genuine support for Sifuna and his agenda. She contrasted the rally’s claim that Sifuna secured Sh2 billion for Nairobi with what she said was an Sh80 billion allocation by President William Ruto. Passaris also challenged the rally’s size against Nairobi’s voter population, suggesting even 100,000 attendees would be under 5% of voters. She further said she couldn’t tell what opposition grouping was behind it, citing a lack of clear agenda.
