Why Europe's top clubs are eyeing Morocco's teenage sensation Bouaddi
Europe’s top clubs are eyeing Morocco’s teenage sensation Ayyoub Bouaddi as the Lille midfielder’s World Cup form turns into transfer momentum. The 18-year-old drew major attention after starting Morocco’s opener against Brazil, where he produced the tournament match-leading stat lines for a Morocco teammate with 87 touches and 60 accurate passes, helping the team reach the last-16. Bouaddi’s performances have reportedly put him on watchlists that include Manchester City and Arsenal, and interest from Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Paris St-Germain. Former Morocco international Hassan Kachloul said Bouaddi shows confidence and presence against elite opposition. City already agreed a £116m club-record deal for England international Elliot Anderson, and sources say Bouaddi is among its targets. Morocco will face Canada at 18:00 BST on Saturday.
