Olympic gold medalist Zheng Qinwen ended her U.S. Open return in style on Saturday, rallying past No. 22 Madison Keys after winning the final seven games. Zheng captured a 1-6, 7-6 (3), 7-5 victory, including five straight games to close the match after Keys had momentum. Two days earlier, Keys had survived five match points in a third-round tiebreaker comeback; against Zheng, the collapse was immediate. Amanda Anisimova, a former U.S. Open runner-up, was also eliminated, falling to No. 24 Anastasia Potapova 6-2, 7-5. Zheng, ranked as high as No. 4, is No. 121 after elbow surgery and qualifying.
