Bengals Pushed to Add Former Rams $87 Million Starter

As the Cincinnati Bengals head into Week 1, a newly available veteran option has surfaced for their unresolved offensive line depth—particularly at starting linebacker and swing tackle. The Bengals’ defense was their biggest weakness last season, leading to their worst record since 2020 despite a top-10 scoring offense. In the offseason they signed Boye Mafe, Bryan Cook and Jonathan Allen (up to $120 million combined) and traded their 2026 first-round pick for defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence. With Cody Ford previously cut, Cincinnati could look at D.J. Humphries, released days before the season by the Washington Commanders. Humphries has played 108 games over a 10-year career and earned more than $87 million, per Spotrac.
