Biogen Inc. shares could swing about 4.3% when the company reports earnings on Oct. 28 before the market opens, according to options data compiled by Bloomberg. The biotechnology stock has moved beyond the options-implied range in two of its last eight earnings releases. For example, on Feb. 6 shares jumped 14.2% versus an implied 4.9% move, while on Aug. 1, 2024 the stock fell 6.8% compared with an implied 5.2% move. In its latest report on July 29, Biogen rose 3.0% against a 5.8% implied move. Similar gaps appeared on multiple prior dates.
