Bitcoin Has Bottomed, Analyst Says: 'We're Not Going Back to Those Lows'
Macro investor Dan Tapiero told The Wolf of All Streets podcast that Bitcoin has already bottomed and that the market will not revisit the lows. He said the catalyst wasn’t a U.S. Treasury bond buyback program, but coordinated U.S.-Japan intervention in the dollar-yen exchange rate. With the pair moving around 162 to 163, Tapiero expects roughly 10% more downside for dollar-yen, which historically moves inversely with gold and Bitcoin. Tapiero argued Bitcoin has shifted from a $60,000–$70,000 range into a $70,000–$80,000 “new base.” He cited multiple catalysts arriving together, including Treasury actions signaling dollar weakness, Trump’s public support for Hyperliquid Strategies, and simultaneous regulatory signals from the SEC and CFTC. He also discussed themes for his 10T fund, including tokenizing illiquid assets and the AI-blockchain intersection.
