Black Bayou Energy hub announces $1.6 billion Louisiana expansion along growing LNG corridor

Black Bayou Energy Hub, LLC announced a $1.6 billion expansion tied to Louisiana’s growing LNG corridor. The project will grow the company’s Lafayette headquarters and build natural-gas infrastructure in Cameron Parish, with the goal of increasing the movement, storage and delivery of gas across the Gulf Coast. Black Bayou expects to create 23 direct jobs and retain five existing positions, while Louisiana Economic Development estimates 35 additional indirect jobs, for 58 total potential new roles across the Southwest and Acadiana regions. Peak construction is expected to support more than 1,000 jobs. The state offered a competitive incentives package including LED FastStart workforce development solutions and $1 million through the Economic Development Award Program for infrastructure improvements, along with potential participation in other job and tax exemption programs.
