Burnham finally answers the burning question: how does he take his tea?
Andy Burnham, the incoming Labour prime minister, used a TikTok video to answer “quickfire” questions and reveal personal preferences that ranged from tea to public behavior. The Makerfield MP was formally announced as Labour leader on Friday, but the public will have to wait until next week for more details of his plan for government. In the video, Burnham said he is “milk-first,” claiming it softens the teabag and makes tea stronger, adding that he would not legislate a change. He also said he is vehemently against single-file queuing at bars and strongly against clapping when a plane lands. He said he is less adamant on socks with sandals, admitting he has worn Birkenstocks with socks. He rejected the idea of allowing phone use at gigs and called it antisocial behavior.
