Busan's Asian Project Market Unveils 30 Selections for 2026 Edition
Busan’s Asian Project Market (APM) has announced 30 feature projects for its 2026 edition, drawn from a record submission surge. For the third consecutive year, APM set an all-time submissions high, receiving 604 entries from 48 countries—up 149 year-on-year after 455 submissions from 44 countries in 2025. Submissions from Asia reached 423 (up 82), and Korean entries rose to 137 (up 58). Ultimately, 30 projects representing 20 countries were selected across genres including courtroom drama, crime thrillers, queer romantic comedy, black comedy and mystery. The slate includes Japanese titles “13” by Mori Tatsuya, “Wings of Return (working title)” by Hirose Nanako and “Yours” by Igarashi Kohei, plus projects from South and Southeast Asia and Central and West Asia, such as Pakistan’s Eshah Shakeel and Singapore’s Alvin Lee.
