Butler from Suffolk who served royalty shares his etiquette tips

Julius Smith, a butler from Suffolk, says his etiquette philosophy is grounded in decades of service to royalty and high-profile political events. The 59-year-old grew up in Woolpit and Great Finborough and credits his grandmother, who worked as a cook in large households, as his inspiration. He entered butler school at 21 and over the past 30 years has worked for royal families, including Queen Elizabeth II, whom he first served at Helmingham Hall near Stowmarket in Suffolk. Smith has also worked at political summits, including one attended by US President Donald Trump in Saudi Arabia.
