France opened more than half a percent higher after reports that Iran had offered a pathway to reopening the Strait of Hormuz, but gains faded as investors weighed renewed oil-market risks and rate worries. The index opened at 8,134.06, hit an early high near 8,136.29, then slid to a late-session low of 8,057.15 before a modest recovery in the 17:35 CEST auction. Agefi-Dow Jones described a strong open followed by persistent selling. Iran’s proposal was tempered by Houthi missile activity toward Saudi Arabia, with interceptions reported near Taif and the Red Sea port of Yanbu.
