FTX to Distribute $900 Million to Creditors as Repayments Continue - TokenPost
FTX is set to begin distributing $900 million to creditors on July 31, as the bankrupt crypto exchange continues to unwind its restructuring. The Recovery Trust and FTX said this will be the fifth distribution round, allocating roughly $900 million. Eligible creditors are expected to receive payments within one to three business days via BitGo, Kraken, or Payoneer. The plan also outlines recovery levels: “convenience class” claims under $50,000 are expected to receive 120%, while other claims are expected to be paid at about 103% to 105%. FTX filed for bankruptcy in November 2022, and the Recovery Trust has distributed around $10 billion to date. The timing coincides with U.S. policy debates, including potential discussion of a “U.S. strategic Bitcoin reserve,” and with continued institutional crypto adoption via ETFs. Separately, T. Rowe Price launched an actively managed, multi-token spot crypto ETF, trading on NYSE Arca under ticker TKNZ after SEC approval on June 12, 2026.
