HYPE Price Faces 13% Drop Risk Below Key Support Near $85
HYPE faced fresh downside risk after Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) disclosed plans to list Hyperliquid perpetual futures in the U.S. but added a late regulatory caveat. ICE said the venue would run through trade(xyz), a platform supported publicly by investor Stan Druckenmiller, and HYPE jumped to about $95 on Oct. 29. However, ICE amended the announcement to “Subject to regulatory approvals,” with the CFTC controlling timing and no launch date given. Large holders sold quickly afterward, including one wallet selling 912,383 HYPE for roughly $82 million and another offloading 296,705 HYPE for about $27 million. The token traded near $87.66 Sunday and remains above its 50-day average near $82.85, but a daily close below support near $85 could expose the late-October low.
