JetBlue Advances 9% on Earnings Beat and 2028 Profit Target, Lifting Delta, United, and Southwest
xCruzo Brief
JetBlue shares jumped about 9% to $5.94 in midday trading Tuesday after the airline posted a Q2 2026 adjusted-EPS beat, reinstated its full-year outlook, and set a long-term 2028 profit target of at least $1 per share. The rally lifted the broader airline group even as JetBlue’s GAAP loss widened. JetBlue is up 33% year to date. In Q2, revenue rose 14.5% year over year to $2.7 billion, while the adjusted loss was $0.66 per share versus a $0.6828 expected loss. The company recaptured 50% of higher fuel costs in Q2, and expects full recapture by early 2027.
