LIV players to be barred from DP World Tour in 2027
LIV golfers will be barred from the DP World Tour starting in 2027, a decision that could sharply limit LIV’s ability to keep or recruit players after its September bankruptcy filing. The move also means any LIV players who remain with the league would not be eligible for the Ryder Cup. DP World Tour CEO Guy Kinnings said the tour would not offer the same leniency for golfers who recommit to LIV once they regain the chance to leave. The stance marks a shift from earlier European Tour policies that included fines and a minimum-event agreement in 2026. Recent signals from Jon Rahm’s team, plus David Puig and Adrian Meronk, suggest further LIV exits. Sources also say membership applications opening later this month will require disclosing intended tours.
