Children's meals to be cheaper under Isle of Man VAT cut

The Isle of Man will reduce VAT on children's meals and related family activities for a limited period, aiming to ease family budgets. From June 25 to September 1, VAT falls from 20% to 5%, cutting bills at restaurants and lowering prices for family cinema, theatre, and attraction tickets. Treasury Minister Chris Thomas described the measure as relief for households and a boost to local businesses. Separately, the government extended fuel duty support until December 31, and the red diesel duty will drop from 10.18p to 6.48p per litre from June 15, supporting farming and fishing sectors.
