Samsung’s next big entry in foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra, is being positioned as a more direct flagship rival—especially on cameras—according to reported leaks. The device is rumored to feature a new 200-megapixel HP6 main sensor, potentially comparable to what’s expected for the Galaxy S27 Ultra, alongside a shift from a traditional 10-megapixel 3x telephoto to a 50-megapixel 5x periscopio lens to improve zoom for distant scenes. There’s still uncertainty over whether it matches the S27 Ultra’s full multi-camera layout. Beyond the phone itself, Samsung reportedly plans to expand the foldable lineup, aiming by 2027 for a second-generation tri-fold device and up to four foldable models overall.
