Sherridon Homes to build new Geelong HQ in $10m expansion
Sherridon Homes to build new Geelong HQ in $10m expansion highlights a planned corporate and regional push by Victoria’s largest home builder. Construction is set to begin within the next two months on Sherridon Homes’ three-storey headquarters in Rippleside, on Melbourne Rd, after strong sales across the region. The project forms part of a $10 million expansion plan that also includes a new office in Shepparton and a commercial development in Warragul. The brick Geelong building, designed by Projekt Evolve, is inspired by the city’s industrial architecture and will be a permanent base for employees and clients. The company, part of Mirrastone (formerly AHB Group), will occupy the first and second floors, while other ground-floor retail spaces will be leased. Regional managing director Natalie King said the Geelong sales rebound has been strong over the past 12 months, and the firm has outgrown its rented office in Pakington St, Geelong West, where about 30 staff currently work. The new site will also house Mirrastone’s Geelong group and Brilley Co, focused on disability housing and lifestyle villages.
