Suspect in Monaco Bombing Attack Is Found Dead in Ukraine
A suspect in the Monaco bombing attack has been found dead in Ukraine, Ukrainian prosecutors said on Tuesday. The victim was identified as Anastasiia Berezovska, 39, a Ukrainian citizen who had been sought by Monaco authorities in connection with the blast that targeted a businessman and his family last week. Prosecutors said she was discovered shot, and that an investigation had been opened into the circumstances of her death. Monaco police had also been searching for her following suspicions she tried to kill the businessman, a woman and a child. Two men were detained in relation to premeditated murder as part of a group acting in conspiracy, the prosecutor general said. Ukraine’s office said it was investigating her communications and alleged financial transfers to two men, including a former law enforcement officer and an intelligence service officer.
