Vitamix's First-Ever Juicer Is Here: Our Initial Thoughts
xCruzo Brief
Vitamix entered the cold-press juicing market with its first-ever juicer, the Vitamix MaxExtract Cold Press Juicer, released Oct. 15 after an announcement earlier in the month. The machine uses slow-masticating technology with a rotating auger to slowly crush and press produce for fresh juice. It costs $499.95 and comes in white or black, with a 5.3-inch hopper. Vitamix says removable parts—including the hopper and auger—are dishwasher-safe. In early hands-on testing, the auger could run in reverse if needed to clear jams. The juicer includes two strainers: a fine-mesh option for less pulp and an Easy-Clean strainer designed to reduce cleanup effort.
