Wall Street rally nears record high | Arkansas Democrat Gazette
xCruzo Brief
Wall Street edged toward its all-time high on Monday as oil prices and U.S. bond yields cooled after last week’s jitters. The S&P 500 rose 1.5% and closed just 0.4% below its record set last month, while the Dow gained 366 points (0.7%) and the Nasdaq jumped 2.3% to a new high, led by chip and artificial-intelligence-related stocks. Brent crude fell 3.4% to $100.34 a barrel. Morgan Stanley’s Michael Wilson flagged further oil and gasoline price increases as the main near-term risk. At the same time, AAA said regular gasoline averaged nearly $4.48 in the U.S. and about $4.08 in Arkansas.
