Wall Street rally nears record high | Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

Wall Street pushed close to its all-time high on Monday as global stocks rallied after oil prices and Treasury yields eased from the gains that had rattled markets last week. The S&P 500 climbed 1.5% and finished just 0.4% below its record set last month. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 366 points, or 0.7%, while the Nasdaq surged 2.3% to an all-time high, led by chip companies and other firms tied to artificial intelligence. Brent crude dropped 3.4% to $100.34 a barrel, still far above early-summer levels but down from nearly $110 hit last week. AAA reported U.S. regular gasoline averaging nearly $4.48 per gallon, and about $4.08 in Arkansas.
