Alabama Football Lands Second Class of 2028 Quarterback as the Crimson Tide added a new quarterback pledge to its 2028 recruiting class. On Friday, Benjamin Russell signal-caller Kingston Preyear committed to Alabama on ESPN2’s College Football Live, selecting the program over Florida, Vanderbilt and others. Preyear is rated a four-star prospect and the No. 3 player in Alabama, No. 4 quarterback, and No. 44 overall for the 2028 cycle by the 247Sports Composite. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound quarterback won a 5A state championship, threw for 1,787 yards and 20 touchdowns with two interceptions as a freshman at Montgomery Catholic, then transferred to Benjamin Russell. He led the Wildcats to 6A semifinals and a Region 3 title, passing for 3,026 yards and 34 touchdowns with five interceptions plus 518 rushing yards.
