All Bark, No Bite: Men's Soccer Drops Cross-River Contest to Terriers

Harvard’s men’s soccer team fell 2-1 to Boston University at Nickerson Field across the Charles River, dropping to 1-4-1. The Terriers (3-2-3) appeared to control the match despite a score that tightened late. BU scored twice in the first half, first on a header by senior forward Andrea di Blasio after a chaotic defensive sequence, then on a goal by sophomore defender Anthony Harper from an inswinging corner with under two minutes remaining before halftime. Harvard got on the scoreboard late but struggled to create chances, finishing with 20-12 shots against and 10-3 on goal. Harvard received three yellow cards to BU’s one as goalkeeper Jason Broome made eight saves, including two around the 58th and 66th minutes.
