Dolphins rookie shares why transition to the NFL is a work in progress

Miami selected Texas offensive lineman DJ Campbell in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft with the No. 200 overall pick. Over five seasons with the Longhorns, Campbell started 43 games and appeared in 50, earning All-SEC honors in his final year. Early in his rookie campaign, though, he has been a healthy scratch for the first two games. Speaking with Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, Campbell said the jump to the NFL is “a complete difference,” citing faster play and changes in technique after learning college combo blocks. Meanwhile, Miami’s offensive line has struggled: quarterback Malik Willis has been sacked nine times in the first two games.
