Arizona women's basketball puts up offensive avalanche in exhibition win over Embry-Riddle
Arizona women’s basketball opened its preseason with a dominant 117-44 exhibition win over Embry-Riddle, using fast transition play and defense that quickly turned into offense. Coach Becky Burke said the team got what it wanted: plenty of film, scoring close to 120 points, and minutes for many players, while noting there were still “some bad” to fix. Breanna Williams led with a 22-point, 11-rebound double-double, and freshman Jasleen Green added 18 points after scoring an and-one on her first basket. Six players reached double figures, and the Wildcats kept their scoring pace despite an early rotation. Burke emphasized building depth and pressure, and the game included a late surprise: Kent State transfer Dionna Gray appeared, joined just a week earlier after receiving a fifth year of eligibility.
