Trump takes on basketball as he calls for WNBA boycott, slams LeBron James

President Donald Trump called for a boycott of the WNBA during a Thursday campaign rally in Iowa, alleging that players leave the court when the national anthem is played. He also criticized LeBron James for appearing to move during the anthem ahead of Tuesday’s NBA game, branding him a “TOTAL DISGRACE” on Truth Social. The Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries have left the court for the anthem before every game of the WNBA Finals so far. The Valkyries said returning to the locker room for the anthem has been part of their pregame routine since joining last year, while the Dream have done so for several years.
