Bills rookie keeps finding the football and a way onto the field

Jalon Kilgore, a fifth-round rookie safety for the Buffalo Bills, has been making plays during training camp by constantly getting his hands on the ball. Over the last three practices, he has intercepted two passes and broken up four more, following up with three pass breakups on Thursday and two interceptions Saturday. After the Bills returned to St. John Fisher University on Monday, Kilgore added another breakup. Head coach Joe Brady said Kilgore’s reps help Buffalo run three-safety looks and adjust personnel packages. His opportunities increased after veteran safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson suffered a calf strain and was carted off Saturday. Brady said the injury doesn’t appear serious, but Gardner-Johnson wasn’t ready to practice Monday.
