Braves' Michael Harris II Gains Full Support From English Soccer Fans
English soccer fans showed immediate enthusiasm for Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II during a World Cup-themed atmosphere at Truist Park on Wednesday night. Supporters seated near his outfield area began multiple chants, including a parody of “Walking in a Winter Wonderland” titled “Walking in a Harris Wonderland.” The article says Harris responded by throwing a ball into the stands where they were chanting, and it notes additional chants recorded and shared by Chelsea FC and English National Team reporter Lloyd Canfield. He also contributed on the field, picking up an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth to give Atlanta an insurance run. Some fans also wore shirts reading “England is Braves Country,” highlighting broader support for the team amid the tournament coverage.
